Ken: It's that time again...

Ryu: The newest Gateway has begun, and you all know what that means...

Vega: Another MST3K waste of bandwidth!

Ken & Ryu: Gah! You again! I thought we were suppose to get E. Honda this time around.

Vega: He's busy with his guru gig over at truemeaningoflife.com, so he called me up and asked if I could take his spot.

Ryu: Wait a minute! Since when are you and Honda so close?

Vega: You wouldn't believe how corrupt the Sumotori circuit has become. Best of all it's not even my fault. I just get to take advantage of it! MUAHAHAHA!!!

Ken: Enough of that noise! Rinaldo speaks.

Vega: Ah, the goddess of the hunt. Perhaps we should see how the huntress handles becoming the hunted.

Ryu: Hey Vega, quit acting like Gouki, it's weirding me out.

Vega: Sorry, don't know what came over me.

Ken: I think the symbolism is obvious here. With all those belts, the pants stay on fanboys.

Ryu: Darn

Vega & Ken edge away from Ryu

> Quote before fight: "Hope I'm not too rough on ya."

Ryu: Courtious, to say the least.

Ken: Well you know how it is with the lady street fighters. Either they're tough veneer conceals a heart of gold and an almost child-like vulnerability, or they're heartless assassins who would kill you as soon as look at you, and maim you for life just for kicks. Or both. They're really isn't any inbetween, I've noticed.

Vega: Guess which ones I prefer.

Ryu: Oh gee, let me think... The heartless assassin chicks, maybe?

Vega: Just kidding. I don't have a preference. The latter I can control with money (which I have plenty of) and the former I can control through manipulation and subterfuge (which I also have plenty of).

Ryu & Ken: ...

Ryu: Aren't you going to make some crack about Kali, the destroyer of worlds, Vega?

Vega: Bah. Hinduism was an elective at Evil Crimelord School.

Ryu: Ah.

Ryu: He reminds me a bit of the ref for my fight with Son Goku. Krili..., Khrih..., whatever his name was.

Ken: Hey that reminds me, did you win? Manny went out of business so I never got the results.

Ryu: mumbles

Ken: Didn't catch that buddy, what did you say?

Vega: He said he got beat like a red headed step child.

Ryu sigh: Yep, that's what happened.

Ken: Wow, good ears Vega.

Vega: Ears, schmeres. I'm psychic. I read his, so called, mind.

Vega: It is always those eagerest for violence who make the best pawns.

Ken: That's good advice, Vega. Thank you. We'll keep that in mind.

Vega: Much as it irritates me, I must confess that I have no idea of what Khali was trying to accomplish with that.

Ken: Maybe he has a move-something else combo.

Ryu: Now that would be a silly thing to start off a fight with, wouldn't it.

Ken: Well some boys just can't help themselves when they're around a pretty girl. They get all grabby.

Ryu: The voice of experience?

Ken: Mmmmm, Elisa.

Vega: Mmmmm, Juni.

Ryu: Mmmmm, Ifurita.

Ken & Vega: ...

Vega: Leave it to Ryu to have the hots for an ultimate doomsday weapon.

Ken: He really didn't strike me as the type. I honestly thought it'd be you, Vega.

Vega: Damn straight! But at least he didn't say Sakura.

Vega: If anyone makes a 'using your head' crack, they will feel my psycho power.

Ryu a strange look in his eyes: Concentration is the key to victory.

Vega: ...

Vega: I'll let that one slide.

Ken covering Ryu's ears: You're too young.

Ryu: Hey! I wanna hear too...

Vega: Don't worry Ryu, I'll tell you after the MST3K.

> Move 5- Artemis Steele make a Roundhouse Kick (end of her combo) but Khali
> block it just in time and he receive: 1 point of damage

Ryu: This looks like it could be a long fight.

Ken: Yeah, the most damage done so far is... two.

Vega: Doesn't anyone here know psychokinetic channeling? It only has a focus prereq of three fercryingoutloud!

Ken: It appears that Artemis Steele is really living up to her family name.

> Move 7- Khali make Head Butt for his combo (dizzy) and Artemis Steele block

Ryu: Oh yeah, this fight'll be ending quick.

Ken arches eyebrow at Ryu

Ryu: No not really! Sarcasm's a lost art with you people. Jeez.

> Move 8- Khali try to make his Head Butt (end of his combo dizzy) but Artemis

> Artemis Steele receive Khali Head Butt and his damage is: 1 point of damage.

Ken: I guess we could always rename Khali as Brainiac.

Vega: Eh, I'll let that one slide to. But just because Brainiac's my hero.

> Move 9- Artemis Steele make a Fierce punch but Khali block for combo just in
> time and he receive: 1 point of damage.

Vega: He punches. She blocks. He does one point of damage. She punches. He blocks. She does one point of damage. I believe I have found a pattern.

Ken: That and fifty cents'll get you, a pack of gum.

> Move 10- Khali make a Braincracker and Artemis Steele try to block but this

Ken: Finally! This fight may be ending soon.

Ken: But, then again, what the hell do I know?

Ken: Hey, you don't suppose.... nah.

Ryu: What?

Vega: Out with it, Masters.

Ken: Well, do you think that, maybe, Khali's throwing the fight?

Vega: Hrmmm. Fits the facts. I think you're on to something. Good work, Ken.

Ryu: But why would he do that?

Vega: Same reason he's going for all those grabs. Besides, you can't get a date with a pretty girl if you've just beaten the snot out of her. Well, I can, but it's a trick most other people just can't pull off.

Ryu: I don't get... Oh! I see.

Ken: This, boys and girls, is called Enlightenment, with a capital 'E'.

Vega: But can he tell us why toast always lands butter side down?

Ryu: ...

Ryu: No.

Ryu: But you forget that Artemis also did a no-damage maneuver back in move eight.

Ken: That doesn't count.

Vega: It was a jab and they aren't suppose to do damage.

Vega: It does, however, lead us to one inescapable conclusion.

Ken: Rinaldo really needs to take a sledge hammer to his dice.

Ryu: I recommend a twelve pound sledge to really powder them, though a ten pounder'll do in a pinch.

> Move 12- Artemis Steele try to make a Roundhouse Kick but Khali is more
> faster and block for combo with this Khali receive: 2 points of damage.

Ken: Lets take score here and see how much damage has been done.

Vega: What purpose would that serve?

Ryu: It's something to do. And I forgot my gameboy.

Vega: True enough. All right, they've both taken seven points.

Ken: Well, that killed a lot of time.

> Move 13- Artemis Steele try to make a Fierce punch but Khali is more faster

Vega: Now THAT was interesting. I'm gonna have to talk to that boy.

Ryu: HEY KHALI!! AFTER THIS FIGHT, RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK!! IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!!

Ken: Ryu! Shut up. You're gonna make him loose the fight!

Ryu: Like he needs help doing that.

> Move 14- Artemis Steele make a Short Kick and Khali block for his combo and
> Khali receive: 3 points of damage and Khali is dizzy!!!

Ken: Dost mine ears deceive me? Did someone breach the unbreakable two point ceiling on damages?

Ryu: Yeah, and dizzied him to. Note to all street fighting newbies. Stamina of less than three is very very bad. No matter how fast and strong you are, you are going to get hit eventually, and you'll need that stamina to stay in the fight.

Ken: It's not so bad if you're an astronomy major.

Ryu: Huh?

Ken: You'll see a lot of stars.

Vega: Ba Dum Dum

Vega shoots a look at Ryu: No way.

Ryu: What?

Vega: Now I really want to see this fight end.

Vega: I do not believe it. I DO NOT GODDAMN BELIEVE IT!!

Ryu edging away: What!

Ken: 'Concentration is the key to victory.' Ryu, since when do you spout prophecies?

Ryu: Not me! Nope! I didn't get sucked to El-Hazzard and get this stupid prophecy power! Not me!

Vega: Well, there goes my psychic monopoly in this game.

Ken: I don't get it. I mean, can you imagine what an edge it would be to be able to predict you're opponent's every move in advance? You'd be unstoppable.

Ryu: Forget it. Prophets are always stuck in support rolls. I'm the HERO dammit! You're the meglomaniacle villain, you're my faithful sidekick/buddy and I'm the hero and by Capcom that's how it's going to stay.

Vega a tear in his eye: Villain?

Ken a gleam in his eye: Sidekick?

Ryu: Uh-oh [makes tracks for the next continent]

Ken: Ryu old buddy old pal, get back here so I can make you swallow your own teeth! [pursues Ryu]

Vega sniff: I thought I was the hero. [teleports out]
