The Thrash game, as of version 1.8, doesn't have any rules on shields. They have the shields skill, but no stats on shields or shield maneuvers.

While I'm sure that this will be corrected by the time 2.0 comes out, until then, here's my (with the gracious help of The Thrash Mailing List) completely innacurate and unresearched shield rules.

Shield Stats and Notes

Accuracy: The bonus to block maneuvers when using the shield to defend, a shield may be used with any blocking maneuver.

Damage: The modifier to damage when using the shield to attack.

Encumbrance: The penalty to Agility when using the shield. This penalty does not affect the accuracy of blocking maneuvers

Note: Only Modern Shields may be used to block firearms, although (at the GM's option) a well polished shield may be used to reflect lasers and other light-based attacks.

Traditional Shields

Small+2+0-1
Large+3+1-2

Modern Shields

SWAT+5+3-4

The Range of a normal thrown shield is equal to Strength*2 feet. If the shield has been modified or built to be thrown, then the Range is doubled. Throwing a shield takes 4 AP plus the Accuracy modifier of the shield.

Shields do not modifiy the AP costs of maneuvers used with them. All shields have a Reach of one and take one hand.

Using Shields as Weapons

A character with the shields skill, the weapon improvisation disciplin, or a martial art style that grants either, may used a shield with all of the basic weapon attacks, instead of just block. A shield causes stun damage, although a character may (GM's option) take a variant of the Dazing Blow Maneuver to cause killing damage. At level three ability, the character may use a shield with any weapon maneuver, that can be performed with any weapon, that they know.
